Our Route

Come on an adventure on our 1 day photography tour to the stunning Glen Affric South West Highlands of Scotland for an unforgettable photography tour where we will take you to the best locations in Glen Affric, and where you will be able to capture those calendar shots.

Day 1

We will pick you up from your hotel or arranged pick up point in our Nissan SUV which has plenty of space for you and your camera gear where you will travel in luxury out to Glen Affric, here we will wander the ancient Scots pine forest capturing unique compositions within the forest and views over to the great Glen Affric from Dog Falls.

We will then head down Loch Beinn a’ Mheadhoin capturing this beautiful loch looking down Glen Affric  and also some other compositions around Glen Affric.

We will then grab some light lunch supplied by us as  the local cafe is a few miles back down the glen, if we do head back to the local cafe  (cafe food and drinks paid for by you) if it is open, then we will head further down Glen Affric to the River Affric  to capture some amazing vistas, small hidden lochans with views over the Glen and up to the iconic view of Loch Affric. We will then drive you back to your hotel where you can get a well earned rest.

Due to this tour being in a remote location at times cafes and eating places are few and far between we will provide soup, sandwiches, tea and coffee to keep us going until we return to Inverness.

As the locations we visit can be very much out of the way at times,  general fitness would be an advantage as the walks and hikes could be up to 2 miles at times with varying degrees of terrains with ground level changes, so you must be in relatively good health and fitness, carrying a backpack with camera equipment and essential water supply can get demanding at times in certain locations, however not all locations are up hill and strenuous. It is also a good idea to come prepared for the weather, even in the summer months the weather can catch you out, so a waterproof jacket would be a good idea and also some decent footwear is a must, (come prepared!)

If you have any health or medical issues which you feel may affect your ability to walk long distances or are on any medication which you feel we need to know about please do let us know whilst booking the tour so that we can accommodate and make sure that we do not walk to far off the beaten track and wear you out! We will be very happy to change plans slightly to accommodate if need be so do not be afraid to let us know so that we can discuss your abilities.

Glen Affric is breathtaking! We got so many cool photos and memories to take home and Ryan was an amazing mentor and host.
